I visited with my wife in June of this year and it was an hour well spent. The priory is full of atmosphere and it’s good to walk round and read the inscriptions in the graves on the floor and the inscriptions on the walls....More

We’d never heard of Cartmel. All we can say is, if you’re ‘doing’ the Lake District, don’t miss it! The Priory itself makes the visit worthwhile. But then there are the charming little shops. And there’s even a racecourse! Go visit!

Hi, it's approximately 10 minutes, if you don't stop at too many shops on the way!
