Good Walk

A good place to go and walk your dog, or if you just fancy a nice stroll. The one down side is the fact you have to pay & display for parking.

Beautiful walk around the forest areas and also around the lake. Perfect for a dog walk or to push a pram around, doesnt take too long depending on walking speed - approx 35 minute walk. Downside is that the car park is pay and display, however if you dont go to the main entrance, and take the right turn before... More

Lovely walk spoiled by dog dirt not picked up from the grassy areas. Memo to dog owners, keep them on a lead till they have had a toilet visit at least, downright selfish some folk. Won't return as I found too many dogs loose, and that is not ideal with smaller children around. There are nicer areas to visit locally... More

Lovely setting, generally clean. The parking should be free to attract more visitors and more for kids should be introduced. Great place for a walk and relax

Visited here on a December Saturday in a group of 3 with 3 dogs; the walk was great with a good mix of tarmac and 'off road' roaming for the pooches. Almost all dogs visiting are off the lead so be mindful if your not keen on this. Clean toilets and a couple of benches available for a picnic. Will... More

Great place throughout the year. There is a one mile tarmacked walk suitable whatever the weather. A walk in the woods is a must. Last time I went I watched a buzzard being chased through the trees by two crows, that was very special. Lots of dog walkers particularly at weekends. Large car park and spotless toilets.

Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve is wonderful and can be enjoyed in many different ways all the year round. In the school holidays when the sun shines it will be full of school children exploring nature or generally enjoying themselves. Some people visit just to walk their dogs and to enjoy the scenery and others visit to keep fit by... More

A lovely local nature reserve. Small indoor information point. Toilets onsite, along with coffee and ice cream van, although this is not always here. I've been at weekends during the summer and its there, but mid week cannot guarantee it. Cheap pay car park, which helps the upkeep of the reserve. Takes approx 30/40 mins on a gentle pace to...
