Discover the secret world of nuclear government. For over 50 years this vast underground complex, remained secret, hidden on the outskirts of a sleepy Cheshire town. Declassified in 1993, the 35,000 sq ft underground bunker would have been the centre of Regional Government had nuclear war broken out. The bunker today offers a warm welcome to anyone looking for a totally different day out.

I was expecting to see a lot more, but never the less, it was interesting. The cost was £9.25 for adults. I think £5 would have been more than enough. I thought all the exhibits were displayed, as they had been left, but it seems...More

We read the reviews and thought this sounded somewhere different to visit. Although I wasn’t expecting it to be a ‘fun’ day out I wasn’t expecting it to be how it was. The bunker seems very tired and cluttered. We were expecting more information on...More

I stumbled across this attraction when perusing Atlas Obscura Travel blog and it's been on my to-do list ever since. The Bunker structure itself is amazing and more than I expected. You wander around the ex-ROTOR facility self-directed following the signs. There are 27 rooms...More

Had a really great experience at the Secret Bunker. Quite chilling feeling being in some of the rooms showing the after effects of a nuclear war and our efforts to control it. All finished off with a tasty panini in the cafe. A great 3...More

An interesting attraction. There's a lot to see in the tour. Many display cabinets and a lot of information. It's also quite chilling to read and watch the effects of a nuclear explosion. There's a tea room and gift shop at the end to lighten...More

I served in the Army during the `cold war` so was hoping to see some memorabilia relating to my experiences on the East / West border patrols. Unfortunately the vast majority is to do with the communications and weaponry relevant to the defense of our...More

Very interesting for someone who remembers the Cold War. Not for the faint hearted, some of the photographs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made one realise the implication of our current crises with USA and North Korea.

Came here today after a nearly hour and half drive with my 7 year old son and found the place quite interesting but I'm sure they could improve the place in certain ways to make it better to maximise it's potential. It definatly needs a...More

We do still host lots of groups. The information is on our website under 'What's On' and then 'Ghost Hunts'. Unfortunately TripAdvisor won't allow a weblink.
