I was brought up in Wisbech and our trip back there was to meet up with friends of many years standing. The Visitors Centre at this brewery was chosen as our venue and how successful it was! To start with the brewery has been in existence since 1795 and commands a majestic location on the North Brink of the river... More

230 years of brewing expertise served up in a spectacular Georgian setting with all the trimmings. Fruit bears, wheat beers, fine ales and the most friendly and knowledgable hosts you could wish to have. The gardens are superb too.

We did Elgoods as part of a day out to Wisbech. Would recommend doing Peckover House as well (check opening - Sat-Wed I think!) We did the gardens first which were medium in size but better than expected what with maze (easy), large lake and many paths to take. Really enjoyed the gardens. The beer tour was good too, if... Very informative tour, thank you June. The tour lasts about an hour with vouchers for a tasting session afterwards. The gardens are very pretty, relaxing (especially around the lake) and well laid out.

Fantastic gardens. A surprise around every corner. The staff were wonderful so helpful. Would recommend the apple beer. Just had to take some home. Will visit again as restaurant first class as well.

We were given a brewery tour as a Christmas present and visited yesterday (28 July). We gained the impression that there many more folks than usual for the tour but this did not seem to faze the staff at all. Instead of one tour at 2.00 pm, one left earlier and a third went after our tour. We had an... More

A pub and a nice garden. My wife toured the first one, I did the second one. An old fashioned brewery. No computer gizmo's. Pure craftsmanship. I loved scruffy the cat. Head of pestcontrol. A nice tour

Before our guided tour of the brewery we explored the gardens in the grounds. What a marvellous find, they are truly beautiful and well maintained ! They also have a maze , well worth a visit! Our tour was interesting and informative, ending with sampling the various brews! The tea rooms serve light refreshments and there is a small gift shop... More

Arrived today to go on a Brewery tour only to find out that our 10 month old son couldn't go on the tour as under 6 year olds weren't permitted. Went on another Brewery tour last week and children of all ages where permitted. Just a bit dissapointed but the gift shop was ok. Would've gone into the gardens but... More
