After seeing the manor featured on Kirsty's Homemade Christmas, I knew I had to visit this place, and I was so glad I did. Unlike some National Trust properties, many of the rooms were open to visitors - we spent lots of time inside and will need to go back to take in the grounds. Amazing French architecture, this place... More

I heard one of the volunteers here describe Waddeston as the "jewel in the crown if the National Trust" and while it's my personal favourite of the NT, I can see why that statement would be made. I'm used to walking through NT properties where the interiors have largely been stripped of their original furnishings - this place is the... More

Used Waddesdon Manor as a place to meet up with family with small children. Lots of places for the kids to run about and play as well as see some interesting things. The place is very organised - busses run from car park to house & grounds, house tickets are timed etc. but you need time to cover it all.... More

Fabulous manor with very good wine cellars :). The grounds are superb and well kept. Buses from the car parking bring you to the manor entrance.

The house and gardens are beautiful and you can spend a whole day exploring. Entrance to the house is by timed entry. There a number of catering options depending on what you want. This must be one if the best National Trust places to visit and it's well organized.

We enjoyed our visit to see the rooms decorated for Christmas - they were absolutely stunning and it was obvious that a lot of work by the staff had gone into them. The craft stalls were worth seeing and the lights this year were great. We also had afternoon tea but as it was so busy it's probably not the... More

I have Asperger's Syndrome and visited here with my elderly mother. The staff directed us to the shuttle bus and then ensured we had a wheelchair for the house and grounds. The tour was excellent, the collections well-presented with a great deal of thought as to how the house could be shown at its best. The automaton was great fun.... More

A Rothschild Baron built this incredible mansion to house his art collection and occasionaly entertain royalty and other worthies. Very extensive art collection, expensive furnishings, and rather more rooms than anyone could use sensibly. An over the top example of what extreme wealth can buy.

I was astonished by the vastness of this estate. It is quite amazing and well worth a visit. Aside from the architecture, the collections are rare and beautiful. Something to see, really!
