Enjoy the scenery. The lighthouse tour seems a little expensive and the shops at the base are nondescript at best.

Lighthouses - you've seen plenty of them. This one is OK. Skip it. Take the path to the beach. Walk up the beach to the Aquinnah Clay Cliffs. NOW you're on to something beautiful, unique and memorable.

This area is so beautiful. We rented a car and visited every lighthouse on the Island! This was my favorite spot. The views are amazing! Worth the walk!

It's well worth the effort to rent a car and really see the island. The Aquinnah Lighthouse area has amazing views, a nice relaxing park and, of course, the historic lighthouse. It can be a little challenging for parking so make sure you have some time to spend there.

My husband and I visited Martha's Vineyard for the first time. We rented a car and drove to the lighthouse in Aquinnah. There was a woman from the museum at the lighthouse who gave us some history of the lighthouse. It is definitely worth the trip! The view of the ocean is just amazing.

Great place for views, young children will definitely enjoy the novelty of seeing the actual light inside the lighthouse. $5 for adults, kids under 12 free, good deal!

Every year when we visit Martha's Vineyard we come to spend time at this lighthouse. The view is spectacular, bluffs below are verycolorful, very unusual, people making formation out of rocks, also lots of Indian history at Aquinnah.

I think it's definitely worthwhile to drive across the island and check this out. The cliffs can be seen without actually going up the light house but I didn't regret the choice to pay the $5 to go up. The cliffs themselves are the actual highlight though.

This is a beautiful lighthouse where you can pay $5 to walk to the top. Or merely enjoy its beauty from the ground. They recently moved the lighthouse because it was endangered of falling off the cliff due to erosion, which is interesting. There are volunteers there that can tell you the story of the lighthouse and its moving inland.... More
