This was my favorite thing we did on our 10 day honeymoon to the Big Island and Oahu. Starts with the driver taking you down the winding, very steep road. Definitely something a pro should handle. Then we rode the horses through the valley, to...More

What an amazing experience! We had Grace for our guide and luckily there was a cancellation so we had her and Kua the dog all to ourselves. This is a do-not-miss experience. We rode in a 4wd down to the Waipi'o valley floor, and then...More

We had a wonderful time on our tour of the Waipi'o Valley floor! We do not have much experience with riding, but Grace made sure we had the essentials down before we got onto our horses. It was well organized, there were 2 guides for...More

The Waipi’o Valley is a remote part of Hawaii’s Big Island with plentiful waterfalls. The best way to experience it and learn about its long history is by horseback via the Na’alapa Stables. One of our tour guides grew up in the valley and offered...More

I'll begin by saying we would absolute recommend doing this tour! The sights were breathtaking and we really enjoyed our guides. Things you should know: -These are not drone follow-the-leader horses. They need actual direction from a rider. Consider this and the ages in your...More

Visited the Big Island in March 2018, and our first activity was the Waipi'o Valley. What an incredible experience, from the view at the top of the valley, to the bumpy steep ride down, and the horseback tour itself. Grace and her assistant were incredible...More

The safety of our guests and animals are our primary responsibility. The horses were officially removed from the ride at 850am. Our Waipio horses are a special breed that are tolerant to the valley conditions. Their care and health are our utmost concern. We do...More

This is a great way to experience the Waipi’o Valley, as you can access areas not open to the public (and you don’t have to hike up the steep access road). The trip does feature several stream crossings (by van and on horseback), which are...More

Sorry, beautiful waterfalls in the distance but no swimming. Ride the rim does an ATV tour above the valley where you stop for lunch and swim at a waterfall. Either one is great.
