We left Kona to go to the Waipio Valley but road was washed out from rain, rained like crazy at the falls and Hilo was sideways rain and windy. We still had fun but I fell in the mud and was soaked to the bone....More

The shuttle we were on didn’t go to the beach, just through the valley. In that particular valley the road to the beach is privately owned and the shuttle companies can’t use it for people that are paying.

Hi - The shuttle down the road to the valley leaves a number of times a day; the last one leaves at about 15:00, if I am not mistaken; I think an advance booking of a few days would be wise.
