    Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful cenote
We came here as part of a small group tour to Chichen Itza and Valladolid. This was an incredibly beautiful, and less trafficked cenote. We were the only people at the cenote for at least 20 minutes before a family came, so it was relaxing and peaceful to not have to endure the crowds. The grounds of the cenote are very well kept, and the bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers were very nice. Highly recommend if you want a quieter, less crowded cenote!

    Cenote perfection
This cenote is what you picture in your mind when you dream of swimming in a cenote! It is absolutely perfect. It’s a bit off the beaten track, so it doesn’t get as crowded as other locations. Crystal clear waters, some small fish swimming about, and beautiful natural light and ambience. A dream come to life!!

    Stunning cenote - must visit
This was one of the Cenotes we visited on a private tour and let me reassure you it was absolutely incredible. A huge cavern filled with turquoise water and the light shining down creates a yellow and green hue to the water. A platform to jump in from and life jackets aren’t mandatory. Set back in the jungle, showers are mandatory and bathrooms and changing rooms are there also. There is a fair walk down to the cenote itself but we were so lucky to have it pretty much to ourselves and just with a few others here and there. Must visit!

If you are in or near Valladolid and want to visit a cenote that is not so crowded, you should go to this one. The place is very well cared for by a local family, with bathrooms, showers and lockers in perfect condition, where they also optionally rent life jackets. The cenote is impressive and apparently not as popular as the others in the area. My partner and I arrived at 11 am and there were very few people there.

We rented a car from Puerto Morelos and needed some place to kill some time. Since this was on the way, it worked out very well. We arrived around noon and there were maybe 5 other people here. The lack of a crowd made it a better experience. It's really a Mom and Pop (Mama Y Papa?) operation. It was nice to walk the grounds afterwards. Google maps will get you close but not entirely accurate. The signs are easy to follow.

Really great, generally quiet cenote.
Great for swimming and pictures.
Prices are higher than listed online. 100peso for adults to 30peso for kids. Under 5 free. Well worth it - even if a tour group did crash our experience.
Great place to have some lunch and a swim. Beautiful blue water, not as cold as some others.

Gorgeous place, still very natural. I hope it stays that way. We spent a couple of hours in the cenote and were alone most of the time. We only saw 2 kids in charge of the place who are the cutest :). If you visit, please keep it clean and quite, is the charm of the place.

This Cenote is located in a cave! It is a very unusual place, we were lucky enough to be alone in the world for almost an hour. The water is very cold but it is normal and it feels good! there are changing rooms, there is enough to snack and drink on site. The place is not very popular. This is great!!

I hesitate to tell you how lovely this was because I don’t want it overrun by crowds, but this spot (and the Mayan family that preserve it) deserve a little more attention. They provide clean changing rooms, bathrooms, and a sturdy staircase down into the cave/cenote to a niece platform with a ladder into the water. (...though we were advised to jump in from the platform and I’m glad we did.) We shared the crystal clear and tolerably cool water with no one but a few timid small black catfish. Be sure to look up to see the stalagtites, and to see the sky through seven or eight openings in the ceiling. And if your first plunge isn’t enough, try the diving platform built against the far wall of the cave!

Fans of cenote swimming will really appreciate Xux Ha. The family who owns the land have made a huge effort and have built clean and new changing rooms, a lovely out door sink area to freshen up after your swim and have a little shop under a palapa where they sell Mayan crafts. They are native Mayan speakers who also speak Spanish and are happy to share information, folk lore and - when we were there - their fresh fruit with us! The cenote is about 30 meters down and you access it by walking down some very secure steps. There is a very large platform with benches where you can leave your bags and towels and even have a picnic in the cool shade. There are various ladders for entering the water as well as a 3 meter jumping platform. There is even a paddle boat! The trees and roots grow down to the water and you can watch beautiful birds in the trees. We loved this cenote - it's huge and unique and the family who runs it directly benefits from the modest entry fee of 50 pesos per person. A must! The cenote is marked with a sign and a palapa with bunting. On highway 180 as you leave Valladolid it's about 10 minutes from the town on the right. If you hit Km 177 you have passed it. The good gravel road takes you 650 meters to a large, shady car park area and it's a short and delightful walk through the jungle to get to the cenote.

This less-visited, but easy-to-access cenote is run by a coop of locals and is absolutely beautiful. It's a cavern with a small opening to let in light and the 2 young "tour guides" (brothers age 9 and 10) were delightful, showing our kids the best places to dive and making themselves understood despite the language barrier.
Easy drive from Valladolid and a wonderful stop if you're heading in to Vallodolid from the east on the free highway as we were.
