Only once before in my life have seen seas this color!!! The short strip of restaurants and shops, selling mostly Mexican handicrafts and t-shirt on one side and on the other this amazing beach and field of coconut palms.

We loved our day in Costa Maya and the gorgeous beach and snorkeling in the reef was outstanding. The only issue was we were annoyed after awhile by the CONSTANT stream of people trying to sell us all sorts of ridiculous things, trying that give...More

A fabulous beach area. The water is crystal clear. There is a path that allows you to walk alongside the beach and plenty of restaurants and shops along the way

We went to this beach as an excursion from our cruise ship. We usually do our own excursions but not this time. The beach was dirty, full of shells and rocks getting into the water, the sunbathing area chairs and lounges were dirty and on...More

We took a short ride from the cruise port to Yaya Beach in Mahahaul and walked from end to end. There are many shops and places encouraging you to stop to eat and drink. There are street vendors along the whole length. You are in...More

we were diverted here from Grand Cayman on our cruise. We were upset at first but in the end found a Jewel of a small town with a beautiful beach. I would come here for a beach vacay and spend an entire week here to...More

When in Costa Maya, Mexico either stay at Blue Reef Beach Club all day and bask in the sun or stay overnight and see the most incredible view from the rooftop pool. The owner, Jaime makes you feel so welcomed and the food and drinks...More

We visited here on a cruise, and went to this beach as it is near the cruise ship. While not walking distance, there are lots of taxis that can take you there in about 3 minutes. There are a variety of restaurants/hotels with beach chairs...More

We stopped here on a cruise and had a great time at this beach. It's not walking distance from the cruise port, so we had to take a taxi (pretty cheap but they expect good tips from American tourists). The beach itself is kind of...More

Looking for something to do for the day with my husband & 2 young children ages 4 & 5. Considering a beach day at Maya Chan or Nohoch Kay or a short snorkel trip & time on a beach somewhere. Are any of the short boat snorkel trips safe/fun for the kids? Otherwise what is the best beach to take little ones to if none of us drinks alcohol. We don't want to pay an outrageous amount for an all-inclusive as those above when most of your money's worth comes from the drinks but those are the only places we see that have beach toys accessible for the kids. Any suggestions??? Thanks.
