We stopped by this beach for lunch and to snorkel. We had a terrific lunch but did not snorkel. Lots or seaweed piled up at present. It seemed fine enough but not sure I would actually vacation here, just my opinion.
We had several people recommend snorkeling here. What a disappointment! The beach is a combination of rocks and sand. As you enter the water, you better have water shoes on as it is rocky. I swam all the way to the breakers and never found...More
Condo – La Mirage on Half Moon Bay – May 25-April 1, 2018 NOTE: Our 2nd visit to Half Moon Bay. Previous year stayed at La Bahia (just a few buildings away) which also was a nice complex. Only reason we opted for a different...More

This beach is mainly residential, it has many villas and apartments for rent. We rented a villa and couldn't have been happier with the location and the peace and quiet. We were close to Akumal Bay for snorkeling with the turtles and rays. The snorkeling...More
We visited Half Moon Bay for lunch at one of the many restaurants that are interspersed between the condos lining the beach. Beach is somewhat rocky with sand in between the outcroppings of rock. Water is pretty calm with a reef across the front of...More
