We stayed at Del Sol, right on Half Moon Bay and loved every minute of it. The snorkeling was great and you could rent kayaks, swim at the La Buena Vida Pool (Del Sol Guests) and just relax! The one thing I would say is...More

Turtle watching is by far the most exciting and rewarding parts of staying in Akumal. However, the food and condos/casas are all lovely, as well.

It seems like everywhere we go in Mexico is getting more and more crowded as more people find out about it. So maybe I should keep Half Moon Bay a secret or give it horrible reviews so we can keep it all to ourselves. But...More

Great place to relax without worrying about the crowds around you, almost non exploited by tourists, has great waters for snorkeling, good restaurant (local food) and great views, nothing to do in akumal once you discover this place. recommended.

Nice to walk to, snorkelling not as good as akumal bay however. La Buena Vida is a really nice restaurant on the south end of the bay, definitely worth checking out.

This is a very different place to visit than the sandy beaches that you would normally think about when you go to the ocean. It's mostly rocky upon entering, but if you get out far enough, there is a ton of marine life. The current...More

It isn't really beach from Akumal Bay to Half moon bay: it's coral so it's very rough and uneven. Don't picture a walk along a sandy beach. The only sandy beaches are around the bays themselves. We walked regularly from... More
