Hekab Be Biblioteca is a community library that operates solely on donations. We receive no government funding and do not charge for our services. In addition to a fully functioning library system, we have an afterschool program for local children ages 3-12 that provides activities/classes in English, music, art, yoga, environmental education, sports, and more!

We brought books and other school supplies and dropped them off at the school, they were truly appreciative and we were happy to do that. They need all the help they can get to educate the Children's there.

We dropped by the library to give them a donation. Check out their website to see what they need. They are providing a great service to local kids. They may also need volunteers if you are looking for that.

If in Akumal a stop at the library is a must. I always check the donations needed list before coming down. This is run purely on donations and is an amazing asset to the children of Akumal.

Beautiful place for local children and amazing staff. We dropped off a bag of donations for their program and stayed to read with the children and do some coloring. Children are usually there from 3-5 during the week.

We stopped by the library to donate items and participate in some of the activities. Everyone had a good time and my children are asking when they can go "back to school".

Support the local literacy efforts. It's a sweet little place across from the Dive Shop (square bldg, not round one directly on the beach).
