What an interesting place. We were lucky enough to tour where they make the copper sinks, bathtubs, pots etc. Incredible history. If your buying copper check the weight. The heavier the better quality. Well worth a visit.

we went to to Santa Clara del Cobre to buy some souvenirs to bring to family and friends this place is like a open market which you can buy all type of items from leather to metal at a very economic price i should mention that this items are hand made and really good with 200 Euro you can buy... We arrived on a Sunday. The zocola was packed with Mexican families and vendors selling everything from copper sinks to sombreros. We had a light lunch at a restaurant on the plaza and ended up buying two copper sinks for future projects. Worth a visit!

If you like anything copper you will rate this town with a 5 , it is nice and it has its history, not too big but nice for a quick visit.

It is definitely a great place to visit for a few hours. Start with their museum, which will give you an idea of what they are doing, and then go to a couple of workshops to actually see the artists working. One of my many magic town that I visited during my June 2016; 19 day visit throughout Mexico. This town's gift to humanity is the Workmanship of the Copper. wonderful experience. Must visit a local copper shop.
