it is a small town with 3-4 museums about the mexican independence, so it is a short stay but very interesting, whit kids can be very suitable because its a quick view of a colonial place.

The main plaza in Hidalgo is called the Great Hidalgo Plaza, and the 4 streets around the plaza are all called Main Street.
Of the 8 other streets that enter and leave the plaza, going clock wise from the front of the church we have -- Queretaro, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Jalisco, Hidalgo, Michoacan, Zacatecas, and San Luis Potosi.
Here the name is correct, and the address, but the pin locator provided by Trip Advisor is way off the mark and the photos are incorrect. So watch that.
So once you have the plaza, then all around the plaza are great little shops with handicrafts, and the other day I counted about 12-13 ice cream street vendors.
However, as a small tip, for handicrafts the best little area is a street called Jose Alfredo Jimenez, which is about 10 blocks to the left of the church, a bit of a walk, but a short taxi ride.
That street is not on the map, but it is there, and it is where most of the people go to buy handicrafts, with all the key vendors represented.

I had a very enjoyable day in the Puebla Mágico of Delores Hidalgo. I went on a sunny Saturday and enjoyed some ice cream, a museum, the bustle of several weddings along with mariachi, and looked at the beautiful offerings the many ceramic artists had to offer.

It is worth visiting the José Alfredo Jiménez museum and the nearby restaurants, there are several places to buy cheap souvenirs or souvenirs
