At one hour East of Québec City, Le Massif offers the highest vertical drop east of theCanadian Rockies (2,625 ft). a very interesting "upside down" mountain worth another trip

After hearing of Le Massif from various friends we decided to make a trip ourselves. This resort is "upside down" in that the runs go down an escarpment to the St. Lawrence river (fabulous views!!) and the main lodge is at the top. There is also a smaller lodge at the base and anyone staying in the village close by... More

We came to ski Mont Ste Anne and fell in love with Le Massif. Not that there's anything wrong with Ste Anne, we just liked Le Massif better. A little bit more updated with better grooming, and better food choices. Like Ste Anne, it's a big mountain with lots of runs of varying difficulty. The views are spectacular and the... More

We went on a very springlike day and could not have been more impressed with the mountain - the views, the terrain, the snow conditions. This was the highlight of our vacation in Quebec. The lodge is beautiful, and the food in the cafeteria is not your typical mountain fare. Le Massif is my new favorite east coast ski destination... More

I am giving a secret away when I tell you about this gem of a mountain north of Quebec City. Although I would like to keep it our family secret and not share this with the crowds, I cannot help but rave about the skiing conditions at Le Massif. If you are anywhere the Northeast, don't bother skiing at Whiteface... More

We visited this resort in the first week of January 2017. This place has solid reputation for lots of natural snow, and did not disappoint in that regard. Most of the runs are black diamonds, which was expected. What was not expected its amount of people and staff inability to handle crowd. Plus they operate the world slowest gondola. The... More

We did the sledding and the staff were fantastic. Really enjoyed the experience! We did not have time to try the ski hill but will definitely be back to ski. The view of the St-Laurent river was amazing! We had heard the food was good at the resort so we stayed for lunch and the food was indeed impressive. The... More

I'm 70 and found it a long walk from the drop off to the lodge at the top of the hill. Also a long walk from the parking lot to the lodge. Come well before it opens because you may have to stand in line outside to get the lift ticket. Not great for old guys like me. That said,... More

Wide range of slopes and excellent snow conditions. More than 320 cm of snow so far received at the mountain. Chairlifts and Gondola rapid and rarely stop.

Le Massif benefits from a northern location that receives tons of natural snow. The mountain is more on the expert side, with some challenging steeps, moguls, glades, and some of the best true back-country glades skiing anywhere - well worth the visit!

This is our favoutite eastern hill for skiing. The micro climate of the area increases snowfall here compared to anywhere else over the winter. Lift lines are minimal, and the snow if fantastic. Just over 2500 ft elevation change and a great mix of runs for all skill levels. The lifts are well placed to service the entire hill. The... More
