This is a good example, especially to American visitors, of the way a national park beach should be built and maintained. Clean, accessible, informative all apply.

Went here at the end of August. The day was incredible. Sun was shining. Water was warm. The trip in the water felt great on the skin. I'm used to swimming in lakes. This was my first time actually visiting the ocean. Absolutely loved it!...More

Ride your bike or walk through many km of trails, self guided walking tours, clean restrooms and cafe, and not to mention gorgeous red sandstones and sandy beaches. Take the drive to see this place, you will be glad that you did😍

This beach is just too gorgeous with all the red sand & cliff views. I just can't explain it enough to really convey how awe-struck I was with the views from this beach. Water for September was warm and surprising! I only put my toes...More

A very pleasant swim at Cavendish Beach is possible once you make your way over the rocky beach and into waist deep water. Water was warm but you had to keep away from jellyfish. Would have loved to have stayed longer in the warm water.

Stopped at Cavendish Beach as part of the visit to the area, which included Anne of Green Gables heritage site. The beach is part of PEI National Park, access is free in 2017 with the Canada 150 celebration. The place includes old dunes, great cliffs...More

Beautiful beach and stalls for changing. Although the beach was closed to swimming due to the waves/surf and no lifeguards, you could still see how nice it would be of the weather was better. The walking trails around are also very nice

Cavendish is gorgeous. Lots of tourists coming to check out the red sand ;) The boardwalk to the beach is well kept and large enough for the crowds. Keep in mind, there are many more gorgeous beaches on the island. Go out of your comfort...More

It is beyond my expressions that how beautiful is this place! The sand is so soft and the facility is clean, we enjoyed walking on the broadwalk over the creek under a bit of sunshine. So bad that we can only walked on the beach...More

Not busy if you just walk five minutes from the entrance. It is a natural beach with at some spots lots of brown alga. A low tide you have to go far in the water to get really depth to swim.

Why not check it on Google? I am not sure and would not want to send the wrong information. The Cavendish area is very beautiful and you certainly will enjoy it.
