Stopped here on a taxi tour and were not disappointed. Gives a good glimpse of yesteryear whether you are a fan of the books or not. The small ice cream parlor had fantastic blueberry ice cream.

We arrived here quite late in the day and it was just about to close for the evening but they let us go in and have a look around. It's very well preserved and its easy to envision the story that was created here.

Likely a must see for fans of Anne of Green Gables …...you get to go through a typical 19th century home that was related to the author, but other than that, that's it ….and oh, the gift shop.

OK, nice little house and walk through the haunted woods (which intersects a very nice golf course that I'd rather be on) but unless you are a fan of Anne of Green Gables this is just a "been there saw that" venue. The new construction...More

I read the first three books "Anne of...." when I was a child (it was my grandmother's favourite book for teenagers) and I have read it again before my visit to Cavendish. I'm happy that I did it- it's wonderful to see the place having...More

Spent a few hours at the Green Gables Heritage site. The tour guide was informative and Anne stopped by to talk and smell the flowers. Great for fans of the books. House is made up to resemble the book.

Took our granddaughter (age 12) who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. House is just as it was in the movie and TV series. Property is beautiful. Entrance fee is very reasonable. Boys may not enjoy it as much. All in all well worth the visit.

The 4 of us stopped yesterday and non of us were Impressed. Sure glad we did not spent more than 7 to get in. I guess if you are a fan of Anne of Green Gables and have watched the shows and read the books...More

This farm was amazing. It is much bigger and more upscale that one imagines when reading Anne of Green Gables. They give a background of the farm in English and in French once an hour. This was very informative. They also have a very nice...More

The famous book and follow-ons are well known, but the site commemorating them is rather modest. Though construction of new features is under way, the Green Gables house itself, though lovely, is small and one only needs a very short time to tour it. There...More

It is a self guided tour. Tickets are not free but were free to youth in 2017/18. I think an adult ticket is $8.00. Just show up when you want.

Not really walking distance (to me) but within a mile if that suits. Very close to the main drag
