Well worth the drive from Toronto. We frequent his market as much as possible. The produce is freash and this is the best place for meat, poultry and fruit. We always purchase freash eggs and lots of turkey. Ground, skinless, boneless- its all good. The people are friendly despite the crowds. Although it's a mix of Mennonite and non-Mennonite vendors,... After my recent visit to the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, I am giving it a 5-star rating. It was a very pleasurable experience where my partner and I enjoyed some great food and had a wonderful time. Before my trip, I engaged in some social media that involved the market. I went on the social media site Instagram and looked... More

Our trip to St. Jacobs Farmers Market was an unexpected surprise. My friend and I have never been and found it to be a nice break from our student lifestyle. First off, we both visited the website and found key information such as hours and directions very effortlessly. The hours of operation were very limited, open only Thursday and Saturday... More

The St. Jacobs Market is a very popular historical tourist attraction in the city of Waterloo. Before visiting the market my partner and I did research about the market to gain information about vendors to enhance our experience. We thought the website did a considerable job informing us about the culture and heritage of the market, information on their hours... More

Last week was not my first time to St. Jacobs Market and most certainly wont be my last visit to this fantastic destination. The market always seems to be a conversation starter, my friends and family are always interested in what I got. This location offers some of the best quality produce, meats, baked goods, and tasty treats that I... More

Our trip to this attraction was definitely worth it! Immediately upon entering the first building at the St. Jacobs Farmer's Market, we were greeted right away by the friendly staff of the first two vendor booths. Both offered us numerous samples and were very friendly. The next booth we visited had massage chairs, and the vendor who was there immediately... More

As we began planning our trip to St. Jacob’s Market, through a google search we were able to locate the website quite easily. The hours were clearly posted, and easily accessible, the website also included clearly label sections (e.g. hours and directions, farm fresh, meet our vendors, and market fun) which provided us with a better understanding of the experience... The St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market is a fun place to visit, whether you live nearby or are just visiting the area. It is located 3 km from the village of St. Jacobs, at the north edge of the City of Waterloo. The market has a unique feel, especially when you see Mennonites arriving in horse-drawn carriages. We go to university... More

Before our trip to the market, we researched on the website how to get to the market and what the hours were for the winter season, and were slightly disappointed that it was only open 2 mornings a week, which is difficult to work around as a student. Additionally, when researching transit options, we found that buses ran to the... More

The farmers market does FRESH! Vegetables, fruit, bread and cheese. Early on a Saturday you can eat fresh food made by Mennonites from their farms. The inside market has fresh meat while the outside has honey, jam and delicious pies. There is also an adjacent flea market with something for everyone. If you're a foodie, this is heaven. There is... More
