The scenery is decent and the place is a nice spot to take photos. If possible, going during the Salmon run would be advisable, as that is what the spot is popular for. The place is a good starting point for hikes/trails.

We came here today for a nice walk along the river. I understand at certain times of the year you can come here and watch the salmon run. We would like to come back for that for sure! A very peaceful place.

A couple times a year salmon and trout will swim up the river and this is the one of the best places to watch them swim up the river. It is truely amazing watching them jump up the fish latter. You can not fish here...More

Ever seen the salmon migration? This is a good place to see it. Watch them as they swim mightily against the current and make a leap into the dam's spillway. You have to be impressed! This is a great place to watch it all.

please stop by port hope and see the salmon spawning going up the natural ladder. if you are a nature buff you will be amazed if your not a nature buff you will be amazed.

When the salmon goes upriver to spam this is one of the best spots to be to see the run. It is an impressive show of life. The waters are full of fishes going to as the mother natures calls.
