Amazing Place not so far from the city

It is wonderful to have a place this beautiful within the limits of the city like Toronto. It's almost 2 hours drive from Toronto. Beautiful Views. Amazing Scenery.

What a gem in the heart of Ontario. As a nature lover and photographer this is one of my special places to visit. Bring your kayak or canoe and of course sunscreen and a camera. Once you see the beauty you will come back over and over again.

we spent about 4 hours for a half day trip to the southern park of the park. We did not reserve the boat before, but arrived early (before 10) to secure our spots. Staffs are very friendly, and give me all the information we need to make our visit a happy one. We spent most time hiking. It is a... More

There's something about the Georgian Bay Islands, it's hard to explain, but just one trip on the 30 thousand islands cruise out of Parry Sound will leave no doubt in anyone's mind as to just how precious this part of our country is. It may sound so cliche but it is a place truly timeless in its sheer natural beauty... More

Our visit to the park was very pleasant. 4 adults and 3 young girls, we rented 2 yurts (o'tentiks) and stayed there for 3 nights at Cedar Spring campground. The o'tentiks are new and very spacious (we don't understand why only 4 people are allowed in one). The park has numerous hiking and biking trails. We enjoyed as much as... More

We've been to many National Parks and National Historic sites. Shawn's guided hike around the boardwalk and through the various eco-systems of the park was over-the-top informative for us and our 3 kids. He knows his stuff. He went out of his way to make sure we were learning about the park's history and its pre-contact residents. Thanks Shawn for... More

Lived in Toronto for many years but never been to this beautiful national park. Recently bought the Discovery Pass from Parks Canada Web site found this hidden gem. It's less than 2 hrs drive from Toronto and you can take highway 400 and Muskoka Road 5 to Honey Harbour to catch the boat Day Tripper to get on the Beausofeil... More

If we only stayed 2 nights I would have given this park 5 stars. Our check-in at Honey Harbour was very smooth. A parking spot was reserved for us. We loaded our stuff onto the Cargo boat and our caught our boat for the island. When we arrived on Beausoleil we had carts to borrow to pull our stuff to... More

Dear mntparish, Thank you for visiting Georgian Bay Islands National Park and for providing feedback on your trip.
