Quiet area, fascinating "boiling bubbles" in the water

It's right next to the Ottawa House, so we drove out on the isthmus to a picnic table. Had a picnic... read more

Our family really enjoyed the short uphill hike at Partridge island. What a beautiful view from the top! But what made this special in our 10 day Nova Scotia trip was the adjoining beach. There were very few people there. The beach was beautiful small...More

It's right next to the Ottawa House, so we drove out on the isthmus to a picnic table. Had a picnic dinner, took a walk on the rocky & pebble beach, and as the tide was coming in, the water started to boil! It was...More

It is a short walk around the top of the Island, very well laid out with a tiny look off where you can supposedly sometimes see whales but I have yet to see any and have been out several times

This island has a long history. We didn't have time to hike the island itself but spent some time on the beach (it was a cool, windy night and we weren't really dressed for it). The sunset is beautiful from the beach. Our Airbnb cabin...More

Excellent trails (hiking) beware there are sheer drop offs so don't b"difficult"ring little kids or dogs that may run. You will be very tired after your hike - I would rate it as "difficult" and steep in places.

A challenging hike to the Island and up to the Look Out over the Bay of Fundy. Well maintained trail with benches along the way to rest.

This hike took about an hour round trip to complete. There is ample parking along the gravel road out to the not-quite-an-island, and we parked at the Ottawa House museum/beach area. We first walked along the gravel/rock beach and searched for mineral rocks, then did...More

It’s not an island any more. You could drive to it on a connected gravel path created by the tide. We saw a car drive all the way close to the island, we were afraid to park that far. We walked to the right side...More

Although the trails were in pretty good condition, the viewpoints were average and nothing to rave about. We had received many suggestions to check this place out. It was OK.

It's an amazing area that surrounds Partridge island. When the tides are low you can just walk around and look for tiny bits of minerals and glass, stones and rocks. You can also spot a few Semipalmated sandpipers and Peregrine Falcon, Great Blue Herons, lots...More
