Think this place catered for all visitors. Experiences offered included climbing the light, a wonderful display of the history and geography of the area and to top it off some Labrador tea to sample. Enjoyed the visit greatly.

Make sure to stop here and take the tour up the 100+ steps to the top of the lighthouse. Great information from the tour guide after ascending each 17 steps to the next landing. It gives you a chance to rest and catch your breath....More

Point Amour Lighthouse is a good stop. We were on a Road Scholar tour of Newfoundland's northern peninsula and were able arrange a light lunch and a tasting of wild berry tarts at the site (we are not sure that this is available to all...More

Beautiful spot, or guide was very knowledgeable. I was hoping for more historical maps and such, and the gift shop was a bit disappointing, pricey.

Don't miss taking the guided tour to the top of this working lighthouse in Southern Labrador. It's quite the climb but worth it for all the information you get on the way up and of course the wonderful views at the top. There is a...More

I've been in dozens of lighthouses but this is one of the best ones I've been in. You get a good story about the origin of the lighthouse but you also have a small museum in the lobby. There are things like a model of...More

This is a beautiful working lighthouse. Our guide that day was very friendly and gave us a real in-depth look into the life of the lighthouse keepers. We were then guided up the the top to see the light. We were very lucky to see...More
