Well, if you want a completely biased version of Newfoundland history as seen by those who manipulated Newfoundland into Confederation, this is a must, complete with those set-piece characters the evil merchants of St. John's, slimy RC Bishops, impoverished peasant fishermen, and all that. Please,...More

We visited the Mockbeggar Plantation after visiting the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse (a must in my opinion if you are in the area). The weather was miserable (lots of rain and wind) so not much to do outdoors. Visiting the Mockbeggar plantation was one of the...More

The site was great for history but needs a lot of work. A number of sites in Bonavista and Trinity need paint and other things fixed. We woudl have loved to have a bette rpicture to show our friends at home!

There's a lovely old house with old furniture which they actually let you sit on! That's unheard of, but that's Newfoundland. They let you do all sorts of stuff there. Not much else to see, though.
