This is actually Senator Bradley's former residence. The house and grounds are definitely worth exploring. Be sure to look out the stain glass door to the ocean

Be sure to visit. The tour guide is knowledgeable and makes the visit special. Bradley played a significant role in resettlement and bringing NL into Canada. The house has been nicely restored. The admit fee also lets you into the lighthouse.

In the 1860's Benjamin Carter went to the Confederation meetings and said Newfoundland would join the new country of Canada. Didn't happen! The Mockbeggar Plantation explains why and why it took nearly 100 years to become a Canadian province. The house and furnishings are authentic,...More

A visit to this house is a must if visiting Bonavlista. It has been sensitively restored and the artifacts on display are very astetically pleasing. Our guide was very informative but definitely not a robot!

The Mockbeggar Plantation shares a little history of Canada's confederation. The home itself is lovely and the study/library is stunning.

Occupant of this house worked with Smallwood to promote union with Canada in the 1940's. Fine historical furnishings and rooms decorated accurately for the times. I found some of the wooden furniture to be truly unique.
