East Quoddy Light aka Head Harbour Light makes for a fun little adventure. This lighthouse, the FDR Cottage, and some of the coastal scenery made for a nice trip to Campobello Island. The lighthouse is accessible for a couple hours on either side of low...More

Beautiful lighthouse that can only be accessed at low tide. If you do venture out, make sure you watch the tides as you could get stuck out there. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. You might even see whales and porpoises.

Nice drive out to the light and stunning views. If you are there at low tide you have a short period of time to get across and visit. When the tide comes in, it comes up at 5 feet per hour, so you need to...More

This lighthouse is at the northeast end of the island and is incredibly cool because it is located on a small, very rocky and scenic separate island just off the coast. If you are brave you can walk over to it at low tide, but...More

Amazing views of the water, the coast and the lighthouse. Unfortunately the tide was in and wasn't able to walk out to the lighthouse. Didn't matter because it was such a pretty place.

The signs warn you--this is not an easy trip to walk over to the East Quoddy Lighthouse compound at low tide. And for we late-sixty-somethings it definitely was not. There is a fee to tour the lighthouse keeper's home but you cannot go inside the...More

Other reviewers seem totally confused as to where they are. One called it the "Easternmost point in the US". Huh?!?! Interesting, since it is in Canada. Another complained about having to use a passport to go onto Campobello Island. Duh........I have visited the point twice....More

The Quoddy lighthouse is a very interesting place as it represents the easternmost point in the United States. If you're up in Lubec/Campobello, I recommend driving over to see this. Just hope the weather is more clean than when I visited. This is technically Park...More

They charge $5 just to walk out to see the lighthouse from outside and another $10 for the tour of the lighthouse keepers house with the lighthouse. The tour was about 20 minutes. The volunteers have done a fantastic job of restoring it. Be sure...More
