Iconic lighthouse that is only accessible by foot at low tide. Even at high tide the visit here is worth it to see sweeping views of Passamaquoddy Bay with it whales, seals, eagles, and boats. A great place to have a picnic lunch from Family...More

We visited when the tide was high, so we couldn't walk over to the lighthouse. But the views are spectacular, both at the point and on the road on the way out. Well worth the drive.

We love lighthouses! This one has a most beautiful view AND if you arrive during low tide, you can walk across to it...if not...you can just view it from the other side as we did. When we visited, a lady was there in her chair...More

The natural beauty of this spot must make it popular with travelers in the summer. It was nearly deserted in September which gave us an excellent opportunity to do some great bird watching. Dramatic cliffs and rocks.

This older lighthouse is a bit of a challenge to get to but it is well worth it. The small lighthouse keepers cottage, the climb to the light room and the views are quite spectacular. The whales and dolphins nearby was an added bonus. Thoroughly...More

At low tide you can go out to the lighthouse. When we were there no buildings were open, but we went out to the island. For a small fee, you can climb down the metal stairs, cross a seaweed covered island, go up another set...More

My wife and I enjoy visiting lighthouses so we could not pass up the opportunity to see this one. The road out to the lighthouse is very scenic. My wife spotted and photographed a bald eagle on the way out. When we got out of...More

Lots of fun to climb up and down metal ladders to reach Lightstation. Great views all around. $5 fee helps support maintence of property.

This had to be one of the most fascinating light stations I've ever visited. You need sneakers- the trail over the rocks and beach is rough along with the ladders! It's a bit of an adventure just to get there. And then you are treated...More

I would say you have about 2 to 3 h total or roughly 1.5 h on each side of low tide. If you get over to the lighthouse, the staff will give you about a 20 minute heads up to start thinking about heading back. It's only... More
Can you park overnight in the parking lot? I missed going over last time due to high tide. Would rain boots be a good choice of footwear?
