Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a relatively nice strip of land, beach is overrated, boring, full of rocks, you will probably not walk the full way, and turn around. There are now stairs to get a better view. Local parks crew regularly maintain the garbage. Not the best beach in Comox. The roads and neighbourhoods above it are actually more idyllic/ scenic than the beach. Would have been spectacular 1,000 years ago if left untouched by habitat loss and fragmentation,

On a clear sunny day, Goose Spit Park is a great leisurely place to be. There is a long stretch of walkway plus a super sandy beach. The view across the water looking at the mountains and other Islands is spectacular. Advise to get there prior to noon as the roadside parking fills up quickly.

This was an odd little spot. No actual walking trail. A very long skinny beach with a skinny road down the middle. Very crowded even on a slow day and other then to sit and look at the water not much going on. Lots of dogs....and people who choose to not clean up after dogs. If you are looking for a place to put your kayak in its an A+. Other water sports are probably great too. But for a walk - look elsewhere.

A easily accessible access beach waterfront. Makes for a lovely beach walk or on a hot day an ocean swim. We’ve also paddle-boarded here previously. A stunning location to take in the sunset but busy at sunset. Lots of parking stalls and just steps onto the beach. Also has a great staircase to take in the view from the top and also highly used for fitness.

This park has two different, "diametrically opposed" aspects! One part is a long-ish, flat, "beach side" causeway... while the other part is a fairly steep hill, with "built-in" steps leading up to varying, unique and amazing "panoramic views"! The beach near the causeway is deemed by most residents as Comox's "best sandy beach", and also has very interesting piece's of "driftwood". There is also plenty of places to park a car/vehicle. Beyond the beach area is a closed off area which is managed by Canada's Defence Forces. On the opposite side of the beaches is a "tidal flat"-- with several sailboats, The Causeway is also a marvellous place to walk... as well as fly a kite! All in all, it is well worthy of a visit.

I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Such a pleasant place to visit for a walk or to enjoy the scenery. Lots of parking and lots of places to walk along the beach or roadway. Beautiful views both east and west. A great place to go for a short or long period of time. Big bonus: extremely close to Comox.

WE used to live nearby, and the Goose Spit was a part of our daily life for walks, off-leash pet activities, evening barbecues, and swimming all summer. Great sand beach at low tide.

This is a lovely low-key park with great marine life. Great for wading and swimming. Nice sandy beach unless the tide is really high. Interesting estuary on the opposite side of the spit. Fire pits at high tide line look really fun.

During a visit from my sister, Summer 2014 @ 2340 She had her car towed while she was in the water under a full moon. Security and tow truck operator ignored her shouts and left her stranded. Her ID, phone and clothes were inside the vehicle.
The home owners on the bluff ogle beach goers from their windows with hd telescopes and call the authorities after dark.
