good little museum , lots of history about Egmont and its people , the town. The old photos are great . The community was quite isolated in the early days and was located on the opposite bank.

Small museum, depending on how long you linger over displays can take half hour to an hour. Kids enjoyed hands-on area. Lots of interesting info and tidbits and history of the area. Kids and I really enjoyed it. Entrance by donation. You can tell lots...More

If you find yourself in Egmont, BC, you will certainly have time to visit this neat little museum. Minimal info and exhibits on First Peoples, but lots of neat exhibits on recent inhabitants, including logging and fishing. Check it out!

We visited this lovely museum. Has electric memorabilia from the area and good stories about the pioneers. We always buy local books when traveling and they had a nice variety, and since they are a low budget nonprofit, the don’t have to charge tax. Think...More

lots of artifacts from the early 1900's and tells the story of the local settlements. It is close to the Skookumchuck park so you can stop here on the way in, or out. it will take less than 20min to see the whole collection. Entrance...More

Loved visiting with the ladies working at the heritage centre. Got to know a bit about Egmont. Bought some authentic beachcombed ocean stuff for decor.

The Heritage Centre is a small museum on the pioneer history of the Egmont and Skookumchuck region. There is a hands-on area at the back where you can try out some of the equipment - the kids would love it.
