Well worth the money and time. Went on a very cold day in October, they provided coats and blankets. The guide was very good, he managed to find 2 black bears for us to watch and he tried to find a moose he'd seen earlier (no luck there but the effort was appreciated). Will definitely be back!!

A not to be missed opportunity to see Black Bears. The person who took our trip was very knowledgeable & we had some stunning bear sightings (we saw 5 or 6 bears). You don't have to book, just turn up & in our case we only had to wait about 20 minutes as they have a number of boats available.... More

After 10 days of hiking trails in Banff and Jasper national parks, without seeing any bears, we decided to take the river safari. At almost $100 per person for an hours boat trip, it's not cheap, but at least we did see a black bear. The guide was very good and provided information about the area and wildlife. Worth the... River safari has several options of safari transport, we took the boat option. Wow! Two bear sightings within the first 15 mins. The bears will along the lake / river edge if your lucky. Good for photos and viewing. They don't seem to be bothered about the boats either.

We decided to do this at the last minute when passing, so glad we did! Very professional but in a relaxed way, we saw 3 black bears, foraging along the lake shore and were able to spend plenty of time observing each and getting some great photos. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and generous with his time, as well as... More

This experience was part of our tour across the Rockies and it was excellent a real thrill. We were able to see bears and the boat trip is amazing. Our guide was able to provide lots of information and made everything very enjoyable.

Cost $180 even with a coupon but we were out for much longer than planned and saw 3 brown bears up close. So was well worth it and we really enjoyed the trip and our guide was excellent.

Lucky us we saw 3 black bears wandering around along the sea shore, though under heavy rain. We have a wonderful guide named Shawn ? (sorry for not hearing the name clearly ) who is funny and informative. We did have an unforgettable sweet stay with the 3 black bears and it is my first time being with real bear... More
