An unusual yet interesting historical site. A must see when visiting in Alert Bay. Its an easy walk along the boardwalk from the ferry terminal. Please respect the signs and remain across the street as you take your photographs.

Best view from across the road, as to respect the traditional site. Excellent display of poles... old and recent. Beautiful carvings. Worth the walk. Cheers

A great collection of totems of all shapes and sizes, well explained. Some were very recent and others gently weathered by wind and rain - fascinating!

Walk the main street of Alert Bay and stand beneath these amazing totems. A living history unlike anything you will experience in museums in those big cities. Magnificent and moving.
