I spent two months (November and December) as a volunteer with a friend in the turtle conservation project, it was really very enriching I loved this experience we were really able to participate in the preservation of turtles, we also cleaning the beaches and giving English lessons to young children from the village who were all wonderful! I recommend this experience 100%, Sri Lanka is a magnificent country and the people are also very kind and welcoming! It was a pleasure to share all these moments with the members of the project who were great and incredibly kind to us! Thank you again for everything I will never forget these moments spent with you ❤️

Superb experience within the sea turtle conservation project in Kosgoda. A wonderful protection organization. Very nice team carrying the eggs and young newborns in the long term because they are the only ones to maintain them for 5 years until it is optimal to release them. Thanks to Dudley, Padmi and Prosentha for putting their heart and soul into this project. An unforgettable experience, I will never forget.

Had a fantastic time especially teaching kids. Thank you to Dudley and his family for looking after me so well and feeding me very well. I really enjoyed the turtle release the most. It was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling alone.

I had an excellent time plus an outstanding service. I was recognized as an Ambassador member. The check in/ check out process was very smooth and the staff were very friendly and helpful which led to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I strongly believe that due to the great efforts exerted by the General manager Mr. Mano Gunasekera and his very energetic Guest services manager Tharangi Peiris and their dedicated staff, this stay was fruitful and enjoyable. Moreover, I managed to visit Galle city Fort on the recommendation of the GM and it was ver rewarding. My immense thankfulness to Mr. Mano, Ms Peiris, Nishantha (the very nice driver) and to their great staff.

I really liked it! There is a staff who conducts the tour in Russian or English. They talk about wounded turtles, eggs and turtles safety 🐢🐢🐢 It's a good thing to pay for a ticket when you know that this money is going to a good cause. All the turtles in the treatment were harmed by humans!

Brilliant experience for our children. The guide spoke great English and was very engaging to the children. The turtles were amazing, we were lucky to see 3 hatch and my daughter was allowed to help carry them to the tank. Easy to find, easy to park, affordable, 30mins is enough so great for smaller kids

I highly recommend this centre for anyone who wants to learn about turtles and cares about conservation. First of all, there are many turtle conservation sites along this road and there is one with a similar name not far from this one. I think it would be easy to confuse the two. My husband and I visited this centre during the day and were given a very informative tour in English by one of the staff. She explained their processes, how often the tanks are cleaned and gave us a lot of information about the turtles. I liked that we were only allowed to pat one specific turtle. We went back the next day in the evening to release some newly hatched turtles. That was a fantastic experience. I had called several other centres and had been told to just come at any time to release, even though there is a high chance that eagles and other large birds would prey on them if released during daylight. But at this place they actually waited until it was dusk and the eagles had stopped circling. We really appreciated the value the staff placed on the lives of each of these baby turtles. You can also volunteer at this centre for up to 3 months. We met one of the volunteers who was also really informative.
