Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautiful piece of Australia. The road in is gravel but suitable for 2 wheel drive. Tent camping only, fees apply. Long drop bush dunny. No fires.

If you are in the area do not miss this park. One of the best we have visited. Where the Waychinicup inlet enters the ocean is picture postcard. If you are a keen photographer as we are you will be delighted.

Stunning scenery - beautiful inlet with walking trails.
Small camping areas some with views over the water.
Unsealed road with some corrugation but well worth it.

Literally discovered this amazing park by accident at the end of the wildflower season. The wildflowers, though no longer at their best, were prolific along the dirt road. The scenery along the coast was spectacular. There is a lot of wildlife in the area too. We saw a huge dugite and lots of large lizards. A definite must to visit if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

We spent the Christmas holidays at Cheynes with friends the beach is pristine the water is beautiful the, the fishing and swimming is amazing.

You can get to the beach by road but if you want to really explore the area I would recommend a 4WD. we have a camper trailer and 4wd's.

We stayed in a spot behind the dunes and hung out swam, fished which the guys caught Taylor and we had that for dinner for one night. I would advise this for people who are totally off road sufficient definitely need your own fresh water for drinking and cooking. We had our own portable toilet, shower etc as once you drive in there are no public facilities. There is fresh water streams ways though out the sand dunes at different points we used one of these for our showering. We use a Smart tech shower which has a pump that draws the water into the hose lovely hot showers awesome after a day on the beach.

The kids had a ball running on the dunes, swimming helping the guys fish.

There is also extensive 4WDing trails which I did my first 4WDing in my own car beautiful scenery.

If you love camping and the outdoor way of life this spot is for you.

There is a caravan park for people who don't have access to 4wding and you can still enjoy parts of the beach through the public access.

Would definitely recommend this place.

We visited while staying at Cheynes beach caravan Park.
Easy dirt road access. Limited parking & various camping sites. The feature of the park is the sea inlet which turned into a small creek. There is a fair bit of wildlife in the area. Looks like a good fishing spot but we didn't have any luck. Some strong winds and currents in this area.
Spectacular views

We went over here after being recommended by the people at the Cheyne'sBeach caravan park. The sign at the turnoff had been removed but we fiund where to go. It is a limited road and not suitable for caravans as there is no turning space at the end. It is a magnificent little enclosed cove of quiet waters surrounded by rising hills with granite outcrops and flowering trees. If it had been warmer we would have gone for a swim in the still clear waters. The location was simply beautiful. Words are difficult for such a scene. There are camping locations for tents. Standing by the water looking across I wanted to spend more time there but we were on a schedule. Take timeout, listen to all the birds in the trees and just breathe a bit of the air here and look across the cove. Lovely.

Walking trails are reasonably clear and go through spectacular terrain. Pretty accessible at low tide
