We have been visiting Wrightsville Beach for years and we always come to this pier. It is good sized sturdy concrete pier. Wasn’t too crowded for fishing or walking.

We decided to walk to pier before ending our day. There is a nice shop at beginning of the pier to get shirt, hat or to enjoy a snack and the air-conditioning. The pier is $2 for adults, $1 for kids for all day pass....More

The pier is the 3rd version of Johnie Mercer's Pier. The other 2 were knocked down in hurricanes. This one is built to last. Interesting to just see it, but fun to walk out and watch the fishermen.

Its not worth the hassle of going to this pier . The traffic in that area and parking is terrible . They charge $ 2 per person just to walk it . This is a one and done thing but I would not recommend as...More

Nice clean pier. The store does not have a lot of food or drink options except during the cafe hours. Bring your own food and snacks. Also benches are limited so a chair might be a good idea also.

If you are going to the beach then this is a great location. Many people sat under the pier for cool shade from the sun. Be aware that the waves are too strong right there to swim in.

This is an updated and outstanding location to be on the beach, however I was very disappointed that you had to pay to go out on the pier just to look or take a photo honestly and it isn't cheap. Be ware of that and...More

My family and I will go out on beach piers at any beach we visit. This is just another beach pier to walk out on and relax and just look around and out over the water.

910-256-2743 call them! It's $8.00 per rod (your rod) to fish Doesn't say if they have rentals or bait. I saw a live community well with large bait for Cobia/king fishing it was free!
