This is a wonderful small museum with interesting, rotating exhibits. The permanent collection appears to be very small so if you're coming for the art, check the calendar first. The cafe has great food and lots of windows and light- a very pleasant sit down...More

This museum seems to have a very limited collection, so watch for what temporary exhibits are on display. We enjoyed the sculpted birds and Japanese prints about the Tokkaido trail, however, it seems they were not displayed in chronological order, which would have made the...More

Small galleries and thus shows, but always well done. Surprisingly great food for a gallery (call to check times & menu). Well chosen / curated gifts in gallery shop. Free parking.

I went the first weekend of the month and there was only one gallery open. The gift shop is disappointing. I thought there would be more resident artwork for sale. I was told I went at the wrong time. Will do again.

Exhibits change so no telling what will be there when someone visits but they are always engaging. My favorite are the type that interact with the view somehow with sounds or lights.

I wasn't sure how it was categorized as a museum, as the only exhibit inside was a temporary exhibit of North Carolina artists and crafters. The concept was interesting, though- North Carolina artists were given the opportunity to 'drop off' one work of art within...More

... not a museum, they have one room open with only local/state artists of not particularly well known reputation. Mostly post modern paintings some crafts and photos and a handful photos. There are no famous NC's such as Blakeslee, Noland or Timberlake.
