Disappointing, but not the fault of Wilmington -- it makes sense to do construction and repairs when fewer tourists are going to be in the city.

Wilmington is beautiful . The most incredible sunsets across the river, behind the Battleship!! Great food and shopping. The cobblestones and uneven bricks make navigating downtown almost impossible for a wheelchair, however the river walk is expanding and is beautifully done. Making more of the...More

Great opportunity to stretch your legs and see the waterfront. Wilmington is coming back from the hurricane. There are numerous construction project going on. If the weather is nice you can walk by the Train Museum and a Coast Guard Cutter. Lots of restaurants, shops,...More

Easy to walk. Harder to find parking. The "pay for a space" in a lot is MUCH more expensive ($3.50/hr) than parking on the street (about $1 per hour). but the street spaces limit you to 2 hours.

Nice boardwalk. Was easy and convenient walk. River was pretty. Mostly restaurants located on the boardwalk. Was nice to see very little damage from the hurricane.

It was in the mid 70's last night as we walked along the riverwalk. Nearly no one around (at 6pm). It was a beautiful evening and I love walking this route. Incredible we are in November and have no need for a jacket. Perfect place...More

The boardwalk has been extended to the bridge by about a mile or so now. It's one of the features that brought me to Wilmington. It's pleasant to walk and there's ice cream shops, boat bars and tours and a wine bar along with several...More

If weather is tolerable (it was great when we were there), this is worth burning off a few calories before heading over to Kilwins for Ice Cream! Clean place, well managed and easy to walk through a lot of the blocks in this general part...More

Always a great place to walk, no matter the time of day. Sunsets, as expected, are especially beautiful.

We were there after the visit to the battleship North Carolina and had great views of the ship from the Riverwalk. There are boat tours offered and it must be a nice place to hang out in summer!
