I remember my first trip to downtown after relocating to NC. It was beautiful. Easy to fall in love with this town. It is charming and beautiful. (and very clean compared to many DT areas I have been to) Love Downtown and ALL that it has to offer. It offers a lot of "hidden" gems and bars in alleyways.. so... More

When you can visit a city like Wilmington NC, be able to park your car and walk everywhere in the city, you just can't ask for anything more! This city reminds me of a combination of the Villages of Huntington NY and Northport NY!

Charming downtown walking city. Boardwalk along the beautiful Cape Fear River. Wonderful restaurants all along city. Many restored historical homes and churches. About 7 new craft breweries in town and very close to all the beaches.

My wife and I never get tired of visiting downtown by the river. The boardwalk is great, there are some great restaurants and you can take a nice river cruise with Wilmington Water Tours. It great every time we go.

I may be biased because I have relatives who have lived in Wilmington all of my life and I lived there for 15 years so I feel like I know it pretty well, but I have visited every major colonial city in America and Wilmington has more bang for your buck. Wilmington has Colonial, Revolutionary, Civil War, World War II... More

The attractions and atmosphere of the International Azalea Festival at Wilmington, NC , USA in April rival Savannah Georgia during St Patrick's Day! Well known bands, celebrities, and of course the downtown eateries! Walk along the waterfront in the moonlight or take one of the many riverboat rides up the channel. For the "landlubbers" there are horse drawn carriages for... More

So much to do and all in a compact area. Every single dining experience we had was aces! Never do we have that luck no matter where we dine. Food and service, coupled with the great scenery of the downtown area made this a romantic and delightful trip and area to visit. Can't wait to return. City seems safe and... More
