Absolutely loved Airlie Gardens. We were on a time crunch and only had an hour because they close at 5pm but we very much enjoyed it. We especially loved trying to locate all the different gnomes along the path. Highly recommended going and allowing yourself...More

While the views of Bradley Bay and its back waters are rather nice, the rest of Airlie Gardens is rather bland. I visited in July, but saw very few flowers in bloom. There are lots of massive live oaks replenish with creepy Spanish moss. Other...More

Hot, July, and awful humidity didn’t make me fail to enjoy this garden known for its azaleas and camellias which weren’t in bloom. But sunflowers and lilies and morning glories were. Brilliantly colored gnomes were scattered throughout the garden each with a different story. Egrets...More

Prices are very fair. Currently $9.00 per adult. Very lovely gardens in Wilmington. You could easily spend 2-3 hours walking through the gardens. Tram available if walking is too much for you at no additional cost.

The gardens are beautiful and they usually have artists displaying thei works. They presently have colorful gnomes. We attend the concerts the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, weather permitting.

One of my favorite places in Wilmington to visit! Miles of self-guided, well-marked, easy-to-walk trails begin at Airlie Oak--a majestic, 500+-year-old oak tree that has come to symbolize a story of survival and living history in Wilmington. From there, continue through acres of manicured grounds,...More

We toured on a rainy day so there were hardly any people there. We took the little shuttle around the park and our driver told us some stories about the people and history behind the gardens. Very interesting. They have concerts at night in the...More

I visited Airlie Gardens when I first moved to Wilmington last year. It is beautifully maintained property adjacent to the Intercoastal Waterway. Majestic oaks, magnolia and many other native plantings abound. A feature not to be missed is the butterfly house. The staff will explain...More

Yes, it is. It's not a "hilly" area and the walking paths are well-suited for strollers.
