Both beautiful and historic. A glimpse into antebellum war life. Union troops briefly occupied this house as their headquarters during the war. Living history.

The beautiful Bellamy Mansion is open again after the hurricane. Thank you Beth C for a wonderful guided tour following a very well made short film. A must for those interested in 19th Century history of black Americans and the Civil War

Our tour guide was wonderful and the tour was about two hours but offered great stories and insights to Wilmington during the Civil War era.
