Thoroughly fascinating afternoon exploring this great piece of our history. One realizes how this great ship must have been manned by fearless sailors. It is a great machine and once onboard you can sense it has a great soul. The guides were wonderful. What an experience!

The battleship really does take you back in history and allow you to see how things were during WWII.

Our grandsons love exploring the USS North Carolina and this time they got to show their grandfather around the battleship. Every level, up and down the ladders and all over the bridge and heavy guns.

Having done a few naval ship tours in the past; I am extremely impressed with the amount of access that is given to individuals on the self guided tour. From climbing into the turrets of the 16" guns, to sitting in an anti-aircraft gun, to engine room and the depths of the munitions storage and the elevators used to shells... More

Been coming for years and years and years. Finally took the kids now that they were old enough to appreciate it spent four hours here and could've spent longer! It is a little expensive but it goes to a good cause. Be forewarned, it is scorching in the summertime and cold in the winter. Bring water to drink! You'll be... More

This is a great tour. You get to see how these Navy Shipmen worked and lived on this historic battleship. The displays gave you a true realization of life on a battleship. Whether you are a historian who would like to know about how they fought in WWII or someone who would like to see how the Navy operated back... More

I had been to the battleship when I was very young but didn't remember much. Upon going back, I found it to be so interesting and cool! I also found out that you can RENT the battleship over night with friends...definitely on my to-do list!
