A Walk in History

A brilliantly presented piece of history. For students of world war 2 a great experience. The American sense of history was at its best.

I visited the Battleship North Carolina with family. At first site, the battleship was quite imposing. We explored every deck (it can be a bit claustrophobic). You get a real sense of what life was like for the brave sailors aboard the battleship.. Great for history buffs!

Having driven down to South Carolina to visit Patriots Point we nearly did not stop here as we thought we may have seen enough ships for one holiday!! We are sure glad we did stop as this was a great visit . It was roasting hot inside but a great ship to explore and different to what we had seen... More

You could easily spend an entire day walking the decks of this ship and seeing, feeling, and even smelling the history it holds.

Being an avid WWII buff, I always get a sense of pride when I see her, and I am so humbled to remember those that were lost while fighting her. This is a 'must visit' place if you ever come to Wilmington for the... More

so thankful for all the people that dedicated their lives and who had to work aboard this ship. I can't even image living in such tight living spaces! The walking tour was great to see ! It took a few hours to get through the whole thing, amazing memorial!

What a great educational tour plus my husband was reading a book about a battle the ship was in and it made it extra special to him. We had a group of 8 with ages of 6-84 years old and everyone loved the tour!

We visited this since we heard it was something we had to do being in Wilmington. I am glad we did. It was an awesome sight to see and to understand what it was like on a ship during that time. From the deck to the bottom was an exciting journey. I will say there are a ton of ladder... More

This was our second time visiting. It's a true journey through history. So much of the battleship is accessible you can truly feel the history and excitement as you travel through the ship. Although we didn't have our kids with us this is must see for families!!!!
