Challenging mountain course and cooler than the Piedmont.

Average temperature is much cooler than the Piedmont with terrain you only find in the mountains. Well kept greens and scenic views.

Nice mountain golf layout but the greens were less than average - bumping, lumpy and need of cutting. In addition to the sub par greens, the person who waited on us was quite rude to us. We travelled over 1 1/2 hrs from Beech Mt to play. We thought we would try this instead of playing Red Tail - our... More

Beautiful undulating course. Friendly and civilized staff. No silly "collar" requirements. Going back again tomorrow!

Fun course. Some of the holes are challenging. I enjoy teeing off from the side of a mountain. Will go again when I'm back that way.

This is my favorite golf course in Ashe County. Played here many times of the years. Front nine is the most challenging. Back nine is the easier side to walk. Great course and fun to play. Not much water to deal with just lots of hills.

I went here with my uncle and we went to the driving range and stayed there for about an hour. It was fun. I couldn't believe how good I was by hitting the golf ball so far away.

Had a pre wedding golf game there. Heck of a course to play. Well kept and maintained. The weather was tough but had fun.

What a fun course.. if you like a lot of elevation changes and sharp doglegs! Played there several times when I worked in the area and you have to work for EVERY hole; the way it should be! One time was around the middle of May and I was getting ready to tee off the 2nd hole, which was a... More

My husband played the course on our recent honeymoon trip to the mountains--I drove the cart around. :) The course is beautiful and well maintained with gorgeous mountain views and a very friendly staff. We truly enjoyed the afternoon. Play 18--it will be time well spent.
