Overmountain Vineyards is a boutique winery that sits on a 70 acre family owned farm in Tryon, North Carolina. OMV grows 16 acres of french vinifera focusing primarily on Petit Manseng, an elegant aromatic white originally from southwest France as well as red varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Loved this place. They offer quality wine with pleasant service, which is a rareity these days. Patient and hospitable, they were also knowledgeable in their selections. They were only overtaken by their scenery which is breathtaking! I visited this place June of 2015.

If you visit only one NC vineyard this would the one to go to Great friendly staff beautiful surroundings and some very tasty wines Definitely going back

A pleasant afternoon in a beautiful setting. We sat in chairs on the lawn on a delightful October afternoon, sipped delicious wine (and took some home, too) and had a lovely visit with friends. Recommended for oenophiles or wine novices.
