Went to attend Ocean city jazz festival. Our first visit very nice event for mature people, venue held under tents with additional silent auction, food trucks, art sales and just really nice event.

Our family has been coming to Topsail Island for 10 years. We used to be "Outer Banks" people, but the crowds and traffic became too overwhelming and the homes became too expensive for beach front, which we prefer. Here is why I like Topsail...and I...More

We are staying at the sea view hotel with access to this beach with the pier. Loved that it was clean and quiet and very family oriented. Bad news! Someone stole our chair that we brought to the beach! Watch your stuff!

I loved the beach. The only issues that I have with Surf City is that it feels a bit crowded. In addition, there is little to do if you have teenagers. I think this would be a great spot for friends traveling together and couples.

I visited a different beach 20 years ago as a young child and, while beautiful, I wasn't overly impressed. I didn't understand everyone's obsession. Coming here, as an adult, totally changed my mind! My boyfriend and I came with my family and had so much...More

Fantastic family fun. Everything in walking distance of Jolly roger inn and pier. Delicious local flavor around every turn.

Very calm and relaxing beach. Not to crowded. Water was great, Sun was even better. Rent a boat, a jet ski ,a canoe. Fish, shop. Surf City is just what I needed.

Topsail is a very small island, but has plenty to offer if you want to just get away. There aren't any amusement parks. It's nothing like Myrtle Beach type places and that's what I love about it.

Been loving this little beach town for the past 5 years. Not overcrowded and just enough entertainment for us. Love how it's not commercialized. Great for families and couples.

There are some waves and they are definitely better for younger kids--- think of Myrtle Beach type waves BUT smaller with a much more relaxing and way better maintained Beach Front Space, sand, and way less of a crowd... More

Yes. One is indeed around the middle of the island. It's smaller but on the same side of 210 as the beach. Another is just a few miles south of the north bridge near Sneed's Ferry. It's larger, features some trees, and has... More

Daddy Mac's if you can get in. Most romantic? Go to Thomas seafood and produce buy some mussels (frozen) and make some linguine with mussels in wine sauce and eat on your deck watching the sunset
