We both enjoyed this place, lots of information about the area. The movie room was well presented and we will be looking to rent some of those.

This is a local museum and has a bunch of interesting things. Many from films made locally, and other items of interest. The staff is very nice and friendly and can offer additional insights into the local customs and culture.

Any time we have friends visiting us we start our sightseeing at the Fort Johnston-Southport Museum. They have brochures for every conceivable tourist attraction in the area, and the volunteers are incredibly knowledgable about local events and places you might want to visit.

Lots of things packed into a small place, but very interesting! Also doubles as a visitor center. Friendly, helpful staff. Restrooms around the back of the building. Nice stop if you're doing the riverwalk!

This so a neat little place full of history. It is definitely worth a visit. There is a large timeline in one room that tell the story of the area. Another room tells the cinematic history of the area.
