Wonderful fun and learned so much about gems and minerals with help of the attendent. Cannot remember her name, but she spent so much time with us explaining all the stones we found as we 'panned' for our treasures. would certainley go back.

The kids were excited to try the Gem Mine. We spent the morning in Saluda and headed over to the Gem Mine after lunch. There was a chain across the entrance, no hours posted and when I called there was no answer or recording. Disappointed.

The gem mining is traditional for kids -- a bucket and mine for gems, but the staff are proud of their experience. Gift shop has interesting items.
