Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took a day drive to York, this is one of our most favourite little towns and visit quite often. This drive was to see the spring flowers. Which of course put on an amazing show every year.

After a number of visits to York, we finally took the opportunity to visit the lookout. It's quite a steep drive to the top but worth it as the views over York and the surrounding countryside are excellent. There are a couple of information plaques that are worth reading. Worth a visit.

Great trails traversing Mount Brown, some overgrown with wildflowers! Had a really fun couple of hours. You can find trail map on Trailforks app. Thanks to those who cut and maintain the trails. Lovely spot

Great views, no one for miles. I drove from Perth just to photograph the location at sunset to add to my collection. I sat there from around 4.30 till sunset at 7.00 . So relaxing! Few Kangaroos hopping by, peace and quiet. Highly reccomend it.

Stay at The York Lily Retreat on top of MT Brown and a short walk across is the lookout, Has a full view of the historic town of York.
Really nice this time of year as you can see all the golden yellow canoli fields and the Avon Valley which is lush green at the moment.

This lookout is a must if you are visiting York. The views over the Avon valley are spectacular, particularly in the spring when the canola fields stretch as far as the eye can see in a stunning liquid sunshine colour

You'd be mad to miss the short drive up Mount Brown to the lookout area at the top... You can see for miles... We were up there late in the day, next time we will definitely take a picnic and enjoy the view for longer... The vista across this southern part of the wonderful, scenic Avon Valley is incedible. Now to be missed on any visit to the York area...

Yes they are, as there is no access control to the lookout which is a location completely open to the public. Enjoy.
