It is so moving to view the headstones of veterans and wonder what they endured for our freedom. My boss was in town and I took him to see the old cemetery. He was very taken with it. Too bad more folk in our country...More

This is a wonderful place to reflect of the price paid for freedom. More people should take the time to learn of the sacrifice paid by others on their behalf.

Certainly an impressive sight with the identical gravestones stretching as far as the eye can see. The whole site is immaculately maintained, and it is possible to search for a specific grave if you are unsure of it's location.

Very interesting, and surprisingly moving to visit the mass graves of the Unknown soldiers. Lovely carillon played over speakers when entering cemetery, and plaque with President Lincolns address for dedication of Gettysburg National Cemetery. As an oversees visitor I find the juxtaposition of a National...More

So very impressed with the care taken with the graves and the entire grounds. Lots of history here. Impressive that veterans from all wars since 1861 are buried here.
