Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A well presented visitors centre set in a nice lark area. They staff were informative and the centre had some lovely gift ideas. Always worth asking what there is to see in the area.

Called in mainly out of interest as we were on a guided bus tour through the region.
Was impressed with the range of local souvenirs, the books on display and the overall
helpfulness in promoting their town to tourists.
The Russian Jack Memorial is close by and there were clean toilets within the Centre.

I went in to this visitors centre to make enquiries for the Mabel Downs Station & the caravan park there (Bungle Bungles). The lady there, Natasha, is really friendly & knowledgeable. At the same time we asked about the tours from the park into the Bungles. We managed to book a helo ride & a guided 4WD tour into the Bungles for a couple of days later. Instead of boring ourselves to tears staying at the CP, Natasha suggested we have a serious look down Duncan Rd in Halls Creek as there are a lot of places of interest there, including good camp spots.
A big thanks to Natasha for her help & knowledge.
A note to anyone who reads this & was thinking about just passing thru “Creek”, have a look around. It’s pretty cool.

We stopped in here to have a quick look and found a nice range of souvenirs. While we were there, the staff were providing advice to a couple and seemed to be very helpful. Tourist centres like this are critical to people travelling through and to the towns that they are in. It was great to see such a good one in a small town which seemed to have a few issues.

Halls Creek Visitor Centre has had a massive make-over since I last visited in 2014. Situated on the Highway on the corner of Hall Street & right next to the Shire offices, there is a park with historic statues with stories of early Gold Mining history at the front. There is some shade with seating & rubbish bin as well.
Natasha the manager is friendly & approachable. The modern centre offers tourist information for the area & beyond and is full of colourful souvenirs with a strong indigenous flavour & now boasts a lovely coffee shop & modern toilets inside.
As I work at Broome Visitor Centre it was great to touch base with a remote Kimberley colleague who I had only previously talked to on the phone.

Hi there, there are kennels in Kununurra however none in Halls Creek. Depending on the size of your dog you may like to speak to the managers of the Bungle Bungle Caravan Park. Alternatively there may be other travellers with dogs with whom you could take turns sharing the dog sitting. I hope this helps.
