    Stunning!!
More beautiful and photogenic than Lucky Bay, IMHO. Just a short walk from the car park to a vantage point, from where you can descend to the shore and the squeaky white sand. It had rained heavily the day before, so when we visited there was a pool of gold coloured water, and when the sea washed in white sand, the water made patterns, like the art on barista coffees! Utterly amazing. A must see!

As pretty as the other beaches, but quieter
We found this beach to be as pretty as Lucky Bay and Hellfire Bay, but it's just a lot quieter and less people. Maybe because there's less parking, there's no toilets, and a slightly longer walk to the beach. We walked the length of the beach, and it was stunning, especially on a sunny day. Also great and safe for swimming.

The BEST beach I’ve been to
I have been to a lot of beaches but this is definitely the best. The whitest sands, the bluest ocean and so peaceful. Lucky bay is very close and perfect to pick up a coffee and use the loo but if you are after some quiet time in an untapped cove Thistle is for you 👌🏼

Close to Lucky Bay, but smaller, less people, and stunning. Worth calling in en route to or from Lucky Bay.

This is a nice little beach. Good for swimming (no lifeguard) & a great outlook. Worth the park admission fee on it's own.

Proceeding on Lucky Bay Rd, about 1 Km before arriving at Lucky Bay, there is the detour to Thistle Cove. A short stretch of paved road of less than 1 km that ends with a loop where there are a limited number of parking bays. Here a road sign indicates both the trail to Thistle Cove and the direction to Whistling Rock. We headed to Whistling Rock. A few steps and you arrive at the beautiful rock cliff on the top of which there is Whistling Rock, a natural monolith which, depending on the strength and direction of the wind, whistles. When we visited this place, there was only a slight breeze, but in strong winds the whistle can be intense and we read that it can even give the feeling of being in the presence of an air conditioner. Going down the large rocks till the end of the small promontory, we could see behind large rocks sculpted by the wind and the sea. Fascinated by the beauty of the rocks and the intense blue of the calm sea, we easily reached the lower rocks where there were people fishing. The presence of life buoys rings on top of the cliff, very far from the sea, and of steel life rings firmly planted in the rock to which fishermen can hook, immediately remind us that this is one at high risk fishing locations. But the day was so beautiful that we continued on the rocks towards the beach to take pictures of Thistle Cove from the rocks that border the east side of the beach. The small white beach photographed from here, with the crystal clear blue sea and the blue sky background is truly beautiful. Close to us, on the rocks, some ornate dragons (Ctenophorus ornatus) were running while some big Pacific gulls (Larus pacificus) stationed on the rocks near the sea. We did the reverse walk back to the car parking to take the path that leads to Thistle Cove. A beautiful and fairly protected beach that looks like a paradise and an invitation to enter the water. Fantastic. Not to be missed.

What can I say? Another stunning beach in Esperance. Squeaky white sand, turquoise water, sweeping coastline - beautiful. It's not as easy to get to as Hellfire Bay (the best beach in the world) but still worth the effort.

Near the car park you'll also find some wonderful rocks including Whistling Rock? Make sure you check them out as well.

It is another stunning beach. There was nobody when we arrived. We climbed down to the beach and enjoyed the breathtaking costal view and impressive colors of the water before we started the Thistle Cove walk to Lucky Bay. It is a magnificent walk with amazing costal views. We also saw a few kangaroos and several types of lizards. It was just fantastic.
