Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A challenging rocky climb, especially in wet and windy conditions. Well worth it though, as the view was amazing, and the cave was a nice spot to explore and/or to rest after the climb. Beware, the descent is quite tricky!
I would recommend a reasonable level of fitness to attempt this climb and make sure you wear appropriate footwear. Note, there are no toilets or water stations nearby, so come prepared.

I think this hike is more than 'moderately difficult'. It's not a long hike, but there is one steep ascent to the caves - saw a few people stop hiking further at this point.
Don't stop at the first cave - go a bit further to see the 2nd larger cave!

We had been to Frenchmans Peak before but it was too hot to climb it so this time it had to be ticked off the list.It was a mild cloudy day but with strong winds. It isnt the most difficult walk Ive ever done but on the steep decent at the bottom you need to follow the markers as they will give you the easiest route up the hill. When you reach the top the views are amazing with glimpses of Cape Le Grand Beach,Hellfire and just views for miles and miles. Was chuffed that we got it done and ticked off our bucket list.Well worth the effort.Saw women in their 70s doing the climb.I would suggest good non slip shoes and you will have no problems.I think my husband did it in thongs as he does with all walks

It is a steep challenging hike especially when it's hot. As higher we walked, the naked stone was more and more slippery. We stopped approximately after two third of the way and did not go to the top. We had still a stunning view but not 360° as it would be on the top. We enjoyed the hike and it was worth to stop there.

If you are fit enough, the 50 min climb is well worth doing. Mostly granite rock so you will need good hiking shoes. I had done the climb in 1980 when I was 11 and this was my first time back. Was a beautiful clear, cool day and the view is stunning once you reach the top. There are some very steep parts so care is needed. Well worth the visit on the way to Lucky Bay.

Make sure you are in proper shoes. I had multiple scary slides in running shoes. It was really hot when i was there and there were a couple times when you need to go on all fours... which meant I had crispy hands.
This is definitely only for experienced hikers/climbers.

Fun climb with stunning views and a cave at the top. Pretty unique. Also had the chance to see a cool goanna on the way down.

T’was a decent climb needing effort and grit but I did it! The teens trundled up with little huffing and puffing, my husband also needed little rest and I was fitter than I thought! A great effort and worth the climb - we all enjoyed the view and the experience. Highly recommend it for a family travelling with teens for a great sense of achievement in overcoming a challenge!

Great climb! We didn't have the right hiking gear but still managed fine in thongs. Amazing views over the national park

What a surprise! I wasn’t very impressed with this peak at the beginning. But as soon as I started the walk I loved it. Easy walk in a very well marked. Took me half an hour to get to the summit. The view from the summit is incredible!
One thing I would do different is that I’d go earlier to see the sunrise! Plus, the earlier you go less people you see.
