Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are probably 10 beaches in the Esperance area that would be the best beach pretty much anywhere else in the world. They are blessed with the whitest and softest sand as well as brilliantly clear water so there is an abundance of riches for the beach goer. We tried all the most highly rated beaches in the area and this was our clear favourite, for a number of reasons.
Lucky Bay was a bit disappointing for such a highly rated beach - stunningly beautiful - but packed with 4WDs and quite exposed to the wind, which was unrelenting during our week in Esperance - and kicks up sand and makes it chilly, even in Summer when combined with the cold water. Wharton similarly stunning but also packed with 4WDs but at least some areas where you can get out of the wind. And both quite a drive from Esperance.
Twilight has a beautiful protected area, interesting rock formations etc - and very close. The downside is that it can get crowded - but if you want to get away from the crowds you simply need to move further down the very long beach, away from the parking area. Blue haven was nice, but quite a small beach area, 10 mile lagoon also worth going to for slightly warmer, shallower water protected behind a reef (be great for those with small kids). So Twilight our clear favourite.

There are two car parks to access Twilight Bay beach. The first is located on Twilight Beach Rd and it is in the middle of the bay. It is a small car park without services from which a short staircase leads to the beach. Here the beach is large and beautiful, but open to waves and winds. Most people who go to this beach use the much larger car parking at the end of Cove Ln, at the base of the promontory that divides this beach from Observatory Beach. Here there are the toilets and a short wooden staircase leads to the southern end of Twilight Beach. Although here there is the typical sign present in Australian beaches with snakes on the dunes and sighting of sharks in the water, this part of the beach is very protected from winds and waves and therefore optimal for swimming. The small promontory and some rocks in the water a few tens of meters from the shore protect this part of the beach from big waves and winds, making it optimal for bathing. While we were there two large white-bellied sea eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) flew over the beach and the small promontory for several minutes. Certainly this is a very beautiful large beach whose most beautiful and suitable part for bathing is the south end.

The Esperance coastline is simply stunning. The colour of the water has to be seen. The beach was lovely - pure white sand and beautiful clear water. A good size carpark and stairs that take you onto the beach. Esperance is a very windy place so check what direction the wind is blowing before heading to the beach

One of Esperance’s beautiful bays- the beach was long, clean - and the water beautifully clear. We saw people swimming over to the nearby large rock, clambering up & jumping in to the water / fun for everyone. Highly recommend

There was a brisk wind and we didn’t want to drive too far out of Esperance, so we came to the far western end of Twilight beach where there is a car park and easy access. It was a Monday afternoon and the beginning of the school term, so it wasn’t busy. Absolutely delightful swimming, and some convenient rocks to lean our backs up against and dry off in the sun while we read our books.

Well maintained beach area with toilets available. No dogs allowed on the beach. Water is unbelievably blue and clear. Lovely area. You can see all the way to Frenchman’s Peak in the National Park on a clear day.

The white sand and clear water here is amazing. It's also a very safe beach, unlike some others in the Esperance area. One real advantage of this each over many others is that it has toilets and showers. It's very popular though, so expect lots of other people here too.

The view was lovely. The colours are unbelievable. The water was gorgeous, and there was bright sunshine - very much a clear day. Beautiful location, clean sand and sparkling ocean - unbeatable. And you can see it from the car, always a plus!

Spectacular beach. Sheltered area to one end, soft white sand, and beautiful blue water. Popular, but not crowded. Ice cream van as a bonus, as well as toilets. Plenty of parking when we were there.

There are many stunning beaches along the Ocean Road and after a spectacular day at Cape Le Grand we enjoyed the ride along the coast and stopped several times to take photos. Twilight Bay was my favorite spot. It looks stunning with the rock formation and the incredible colours.
