Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely spot for everyone, families, couples , singles . Dog friendly. Clean long drops . No showers . Lots of different camp areas . Book online and view map . Entry fee required on top of camp fee . Its worth getting an annual pass if you camp regularly. RAC members get discounts on annual park pass .

Much lager than I thought with multiple camp and picnic spots. BBQ and toilets numerous swimming spots. I stayed overnight in Nanga (site 21) this was at the end of the camp next to toilets, great location as the wildlife camp in not bothered by me. Book a campsite in advance if you can, no phone reception but I came for some down time.

Great amenities, friendly staff, easy driving and walking trails. Loved the new suspension bridge. A lovely way to fill in a couple of hours. Next time we'll pack a picnic.

We had 4 nights last Christmas, now 3 nights over Easter at Tony's Bend. We had the best time, so much to do. We swam in the river everyday, went bushwalking. Sites are a great size for a family of 4. We met some great people. Kids rode their bikes with the other children. Very quiet and relaxing. Would recommend to everyone

We have camped here so many times and I love it! The right distance from Perth to quickly get away. We throw the tent in the back of the car and My partner and I and our fur baby are off! The sites are great at Baden Powell and the facilities are just enough to feel like your getting your Bear Grills on (while still having a toilet and running water available). My favorite times are winter when you can light a campfire and drink red whine while playing charades and fixing the worlds problems.

Lovely area to wander along the river. Clean water and well maintained. Ample Gas bbqs, seating and shade. All round well worth the cheap entry fee.

Enjoy

We decided to go to Dwellingup and checkout Lane Pool Reserve for a picnic lunch, we had three car and 11 people it cost $23.00 per car to enter the Reserve so it was a very expenisive picnic!!! We spent about two hours there and it was a lovely spot but sad to think that for alot of families just wanting to go for the day it would be way to expensive. We did not leave anything behind we even took our rubbish with us so it was very disappointing to be charged so much for so little. The toilets were to smelly to even use so we had to head back to Dwellingup for facilities

This was not as good as a few years back. Has a new carpark which is ok, but everything is very Barron and a bit messy. Drop toilets were just yuck and entry into the pool a bit treacherous. Kids had a great swim and we can see they are putting in 3 lots of large aluminium stairs which will be great (to enter and exit water). Was curious they have put a lot of new tables up at the car park and bbqs. Although busy, these were all empty, they needed to be down by the water.

We may stop here again if hot for a swim but likely if carpark more than half full we'd keep driving.

Real downside was Dogs. Lots of leads, in water and running around. Trying to picnic in middle of all that and people pulling canoes etc. I'd give 2.5 stars but as kids had a good swim a 3. Parks need to work on the amenity and animal control. And we had to pay $12- to get in !!

We stayed close by in a B&B and drove into the reserve. Our target was some "wild" swimming on Lane Pools - which we enjoyed immensely despite it being a fairly dull day. We also checked out Charles Flat camping site and were quite impressed by the facilities considering this is right in the middle of the forest, each plot seemed to be allocated to tent or camper van and came with parking spot + hearth with cooking griddle and there was a toilet block which seemed to be regularly serviced - there was even toilet paper in it!
